Certifications and Standards
| Certification | Scope | Why It Matters for Automotive |
|---|---|---|
| IATF16949 | Automotive quality management system | Required by Tier 1 / Tier 2 automotive supply chains — covers process control, traceability and PPAP |
| ISO9001 | General quality management system | Baseline quality system, underpins IATF16949 |
| IPC Class 3 | PCB reliability standard | Required for safety-critical automotive electronics — stricter plating, annular ring and inspection |
| Halogen-free materials | RoHS + automotive environmental compliance | Available across FR4, Rogers and PTFE grades for green vehicle programs |
IATF16949 certification covers the full PCB manufacturing process — from incoming material inspection to outgoing quality control — with process control plans, FMEA documentation and full material traceability. For automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 supply chains that require supplier qualification, certification documents are available on request.
Automotive Applications
| Application | Material | Key Requirement |

| ADAS camera / LiDAR interface | FR4 Hi-Tg / Halogen-free | AEC-Q200 compatible, thermal reliability |
| EV power electronics control | Aluminum PCB / Hi-Tg FR4 | Thermal management, IPC Class 3 |
| Body control module (BCM) | FR4 Hi-Tg | High layer count, blind/buried via |
| In-vehicle infotainment (IVI) | FR4 / Nelco high-speed | Controlled impedance, halogen-free |
| V2X communication module | RO4350B / FR4 | Sub-6GHz RF + digital mixed design |
77GHz Radar PCB — The RF-Specific Requirement
The most demanding automotive PCB from an RF materials perspective is the 77GHz FMCW radar front-end. At 77GHz, Rogers RO4350B (Df 0.0037) produces ~1.8dB/cm insertion loss — over a 5cm feed network, 9dB of loss. Rogers RO3003 (Df 0.0010, PTFE) produces ~0.5dB/cm — 2.5dB over the same path. RO3003 0.127mm is the industry standard for 77GHz radar PCB. See 77GHz radar PCB manufacturer for full process specifications, via fence design rules and lead times.
